The Holland Theater kicks off 2025 with four fun shows in February.
First up is Windmill Productions’ Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition, on Friday, February 7, at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, February 8, at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Local middle schoolers present the classic tale and music in a one-hour version perfect for young attention spans. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for youth 17 and under.
Next up is the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s on Friday, February 14, at 7 p.m., part of the Holland’s Free Movie Series. This beloved classic features Audrey Hepburn as the carefree but complicated Holly Golightly. Admission is free but a ticket is required.
The following day, Saturday, February 15, at 7:30 p.m., features Close to You: The Music of the Carpenters. Singer and playwright Lisa Rock has compiled a moving tribute to the beautiful music and troubled life of Karen Carpenter and brings it to the stage with her six-piece backing band. The concert showcases some of the most memorable songs of the 70s including “We’ve Only Just Begun,” “Rainy Days and Mondays,” and of course “Close to You.” Tickets start at $25. This event is sponsored by Richard Brundage and the Bellefontaine Examiner.
Finally, relive the fun and excitement of the most popular band in music history with The WannaBeatles on Saturday, February 22, at 7:30 p.m. Grammy nominees who have appeared on national television, The WannaBeatles use their multi-instrumental skills to recreate all eras of the Beatles’ songbook. Tickets start at $20. This event is sponsored by Mick and Jane Reed and V-Teck Communications.
Up next in March are The All New Wizard of Oz on Ice on March 1; Irish music from The Drowsy Lads on March 15; the John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band on March 22; and a free concert from The Ohio State University Jazz Ensemble on March 28.
