Riverside High School has announced its December Seniors of the Month, Allison Estep and Tony Robinson.

Allison Estep is the daughter of Joseph and Amy Estep.

School activities & awards: Activities: Business Professionals of America (BPA), student government (student council and class officer), 4-H, National Honor Society (NHS), National Technical Honor Society (NTHS), yearbook committee, and my school’s art program.
Awards: Academic Breakfast Award for American History, and Art III, National, State (placed 6th overall), and Regional Qualifier (placed 5th overall) for Intermediate Word Processing competition, 5th place at the Regional level for Basic Office Systems and Procedures, 2nd place at the Regional level for Team Presentation competition, 3rd place at the Regional level for Economics Team competition, receiver of the Executive Torch Award and Diplomat Torch Award, and recognized as the Artist of the Year award for my third year in art.

If I were principal for a day: Bring back the old playground, and let every grade level have recess.

Favorite school memory: Getting the Artist of the Year award last year.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: My parents, especially my dad, my sister, Rozlynn, my grandparents, my Uncle Jody, all of my friends, and almost every teacher that I’ve had over my school career. Honorable mentions include Clarice Starling from The Silence of the Lambs, David Lynch, Albert Camus, Louis Zamperini, Jayne Mansfield, and Bobby Hill from King of the Hill.

Lately, I have been reading: Re-reading To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

My advice to parents: Your children may come from you, but that doesn’t make them you. Stop placing them into molds and let them figure themselves out. That’s what life is all about.

My biggest regret: For school, not joining BPA sooner. In general, taking the time I have with those around me for granted.

Most embarrassing moment: Getting in trouble for looking up something Five Nights at Freddy’s related, while wearing a Five Nights at Freddy’s shirt. It was the third day of school, mind you.

Next year, I will be: I’m hoping to get a head start in traveling the world and seeing what’s out there for me. Whatever I do, I know it won’t be boring.

Tony Robinson is the son of Paul and Amy Faulder.

School activities & awards: Football, FFA Officer, Student Council, Pirate Advisor Committee (PAC)

If I were principal for a day: If I were principal for a day, I would make a loaded baked potato bar for lunch, and have recess all day long.
Favorite school memory: My favorite school memory was in elementary school, playing football at recess with all my friends and being introduced to the awesome sport!

People who have been an inspiration to me include: People that have been inspirational to me include Coach Hodge, the rest of the football coaching staff, Mrs. Miller, all of my teachers, and my teammates on my football team. They all push me to be the best I can be.
Lately, I have been reading: Lately, I have been reading college football articles. Go Bucks!

My advice to parents: Don’t shelter your kids too much; if you do, it will only make them hide stuff from you in the long run.

My biggest regret: My biggest regret is not playing baseball and basketball through Jr High and High School. I go to games and wish I could be out there with my friends.

Most embarrassing moment: My most embarrassing moment was probably when I texted Coach Hodge in the middle of the school day, and we are not allowed to have our phones during school.

Next year, I will be: Next year I will be working at Briarwood Sporting Club.
