Family feud turns violent in Rushsylvania

A Rushsylvania woman is facing domestic violence charges after a physical altercation with her sister Thursday evening, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded just after 8:30 PM to a home on Susie Street after dispatch received a 9-1-1 call reporting a fight between two sisters.

When deputies arrived, they found the victim sitting on the floor with cuts to her thigh and foot, as well as injuries to her hand.

According to authorities, 52-year-old Kari Thompson allegedly entered the home unannounced and confronted the victim, eventually attacking her.

Witnesses say the victim was thrown onto their elderly mother during the altercation, and Thompson also hit her with a coat hanger and tried to kneel on her neck.

Medics transported the victim to Mary Rutan Hospital in stable condition.

Thompson was later taken into custody at her home and transported to the Logan County Jail.

She faces charges of domestic violence.
