****UPDATE****
On Thursday at 12:43 pm, Hardin County 911 received a report of a two-vehicle injury accident in the 12000 block of State Route 309.
The vehicles involved are a 2011 Chevy Impala and a 2012 Chevy Malibu.
Dennis Covault, 72, of Harrod, was driving the Impala. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, Louise Covalt, 70, was transported by life flight to Wexner Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Malibu, Halie Hamlin Breeden, 28, of Kenton, was transported to Lima St. Rita’s Hospital by life flight with serious injuries.
This crash remains under investigation.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the following agencies: Kenton Police Department, ODOT, Kenton Fire Department, Life Flight, BKP, McGuffey Fire, Minnich’s Towing, Hardin County Drone Team, and the Hardin County Coroner’s Office.
