Field fire breaks out south of Ridgeway

Fire crews were dispatched to a rapidly spreading field fire just after 5:00 PM on Saturday, located south of Ridgeway along State Route 292.

According to initial reports, the fire began in a dry field and was quickly fueled by gusty winds, causing it to spread quickly.

Multiple firefighting units responded to the scene to contain the blaze and prevent it from reaching nearby structures or wooded areas.

Officials have not yet released details on the cause of the fire, whether any injuries occurred, or the full extent of the damage.

Richland Township, Ridgeway, Perry Township, Bokescreek, and Mt.Victory have all responded to the blaze.
