The St. Paris Fire Department (JSP) was dispatched around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday to a reported structure fire in the 11800 block of Scenic Drive, north of Kiser Lake.
Fire crews arrived to find a vacant home fully involved. Approximately 4,000 gallons of water were used to extinguish the blaze. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control without any reported injuries.
The property, owned by Gene Petry of Conover, was deemed a total loss due to extensive damage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Ohio Fire Marshal’s Office. No further details have been released.
