A lifelong Belle Center resident is running for Logan County Commissioner.
Greg Fitzpatrick has announced his candidacy for the March ’24 primary election.
Fitzpatrick, who’s currently a Richland Township Trustee, has been a community leader for multiple decades.
The 1981 Benjamin Logan grad was a Logan County Sheriff’s Deputy for 30 years.
He was also the jail administrator and juvenile detention center administrator.
Greg was a member of the Buckeye Sheriff’s Association Corrections Committee for 4 years.
Fitzpatrick was also a 25-year volunteer firefighter with the Richland Township Fire Department.
He retired as assistant fire chief in 2006.
Fitzpatrick was an emergency medical technician with the BMRT Ambulance District in Belle Center for 12 years.
Greg has been a volunteer on the Belle Center Fireworks Committee for 41 years.
He’s a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Bellefontaine.
Fitzpatrick and his wife, Patricia, have 5 children and 8 grandchildren.
