Bellefontaine High School recently named its December Seniors of the Month, Kaeleigh Flora and Patrick Stolly.

Kaeleigh Flora is the daughter of Brad and Laura Flora of West Liberty.

Future plans: Attend college and study pediatric medicine.

School activities and awards: Volleyball, Cross Country, Swim, Track and Field, National Honor Society President, French National Honor Society, DARE President, Interact Club, AP Scholar with Distinction, and Honda Academic Achievement.

If I were principal for a day: I would have the day start later and bring in food trucks for lunch.

Favorite school memory: Getting to run in the regional meet for cross country and compete in the district final for volleyball on the same day. It was a very exciting day, and I got to enjoy it with so many people.

People who have been an inspiration to me: My parents and my older sister Mekenzie.

Lately I’ve been reading: When Stars Rain Down by Angela Jackson-Brown.

My advice to parents: Make sure to encourage your kids to try new things and get involved in something. It’s how I’ve met some of my best friends.

My biggest regret: Letting what other people say bother me or keep me from doing things.

Where I see myself in 5 years: Working towards a career in pediatric medicine.

Patrick Stolly is the son of Henry and Sally Stolly of Bellefontaine.

Future plans: Attend college and earn a degree in business.

School activities and awards: Football, Basketball, Baseball, National Honor Society Treasurer, Chieftain Leaders, Interact Club, BHS Backers, DECA, AP Scholar with Honor, and various CBC/sports awards.

If I were principal for a day: I would start school two hours later.

Favorite school memory: Playing sports and competing alongside my teammates, especially playing basketball for my dad.

People who have been an inspiration to me: My parents.

Lately I’ve been reading: Sports news.

My advice to parents: Encourage kids to stay busy and involved. Instill the values of hard work and selflessness in whatever they are doing and do not let them specialize.

Where I see myself in 5 years: I will have graduated from college and will be starting a career in business.
