The Logan County Engineer’s Office has announced that fog sealing will take place on several county roads on Wednesday, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.

There will be no overnight closures, but no through traffic will be permitted during working hours.

Roads scheduled for fog sealing include County Road 96 from County Road 38 to State Route 117, County Road 77 from County Road 34 to County Road 21, County Road 58 from the Logan County Line to County Road 21, and County Road 59 from the Logan County Line to County Road 21.

Emergency and local traffic will be allowed with the help of flagging crews.

Drivers should anticipate delays and are encouraged to plan alternate routes to avoid the construction zones.

Motorists traveling through these areas are urged to slow down and use extra caution.

Fog-sealed roads will have temporary unmarked no-passing zones, which will remain in place until fall for safety.

To help the fog seal cure properly and maintain safe driving conditions, motorists are asked to drive no faster than 20 miles per hour on the first day after chip sealing has been applied, and to keep speeds below 30 miles per hour for at least seven days afterward.

As always, the schedule is subject to change depending on weather conditions.

The Logan County Engineer’s Office appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation as crews work to improve the local roadways.
