According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, four people were injured in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning.

Just after 1 a.m., a 2008 Honda Civic driven by Elvis Varian, 50, of Huntsville, was entering U.S. 33 westbound from State Route 117 when he continued north through the eastbound lane, crossed the divider and westbound lane, and crashed into an embankment on the north side of the roadway.

Varian suffered suspected minor injuries and was cited for failure to control.

Three passengers — Tuff Cline, 29, of Bellefontaine; Jarryd Blackburn, 28, of Ada; and Tristan Varian, 27, of Dola — also suffered suspected minor injuries and were transported to Mary Rutan Hospital.

Deputies noted that Blackburn and Tristan Varian were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene.
