Bellefontaine Police initiated a traffic stop on Jack Fox, 54, and discovered he was driving under suspension.
Fox denied consent to search the vehicle.
K9 Boodik was deployed and gave a positive alert to a narcotic odor.
A probable cause search was conducted and police found multiple drug items.
Multiple pieces of burnt and cut foil were located on the passenger seat along with a burnt straw that contained suspected fentanyl residue.
A digital scale with white residue was found in the center console. A plunger from a hypodermic syringe, a second straw that contained suspected fentanyl residue, and a metal tin that contained three yellow pills were also found in the center console. The pills were identified as Gabapentin.
In the back seat, police found an Ibuprofen bottle that contained six orange circular pills. The pills were identified as Clonazepam, a schedule IV drug.
Also in the backseat was a used methamphetamine pipe rolled up in a bandana.
Due to Fox’s prior drug convictions, possession of a schedule IV drug is a felony.
He was arrested on charges of possession of a schedule IV drug, possession of drug abuse instruments, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a dangerous drug.
Fox was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
