Friday Crash at US 33 & CR 57

The Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a two-vehicle injury crash. The crash occurred on Friday at approximately 4 PM on US 33 at the intersection of CR 57.

A 2008 Honda operated by Christopher Ebner, 33 of Huntsville was traveling westbound on US 33. A 2015 Subaru operated by Jacob “Andy” Reinhart, 72 of Bellefontaine Failed
to yield from the stop sign on County Road 57 at Highway 33 and pulled into the path of Ebner.

Ebner and Reinhart were transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Bellefontaine EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS, Kegg’s Towing, Shafer’s Towing, and the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor and both drivers were wearing a properly adjusted seat belt.

This is the second crash at this intersection in the last week.

The Patrol reminds motorists to never operate a motor vehicle distracted, and to always wear a properly adjusted seat belt, every time they are in a motor vehicle.
