A two-vehicle crash on U.S. 33 late Friday night resulted in no injuries but did lead to a citation, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the crash happened just after 10 p.m. when a 2022 Ford EcoSport, driven by 54-year-old James Gooding, of Jackson Center, was westbound in the right lane behind a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by 18-year-old Xavier Schwer, of Lakeview.
As Schwer turned east onto County Road 37, Gooding made an evasive maneuver to avoid striking the vehicle but sideswiped it instead.
No injuries were reported.
Gooding was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
