Logan County’s newest community attraction officially opened Wednesday between Dorcey’s Flower Shop and the Logan County Library Branch in West Liberty.

Friendship Alley is designed to serve as a gathering space where community members can connect, relax, and enjoy time together. The new space features comfortable seating, cozy lighting, colorful floral decorations, and artistic touches throughout, creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors of all ages. Games and entertainment are also available, encouraging people to spend time with family, friends, and neighbors.

The grand opening ceremony began with remarks from West Liberty Business Association President Heather Chamberlain, who shared the story behind Friendship Alley and thanked the many volunteers, businesses, and community members who helped bring the project to life.

Following her remarks, Chamberlain cut a tiger-striped ribbon surrounded by members of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce and fellow members of the West Liberty Business Association, officially opening the new community space.

The celebration continued with Hound Dogs Food Truck serving hungry visitors while The River radio station provided music throughout the event. Free popcorn and refreshments were also available as residents explored the new alley, enjoyed games, and spent time visiting with one another.

Friendship Alley is now officially open and welcomes all community members to stop by, gather with friends, and enjoy West Liberty’s newest public space.
