Graham BOE considers levy for spring ballot

The Graham Board of Education met in a regular meeting on Monday evening at Graham High School.

The board is considering putting a five-mill levy on the spring ballot to be added for permanent improvement.

They will be holding a public hearing soon; the official date and time are yet to be announced.

A large sum of donations was recognized by the board, totaling over $28,000, including a $20,000 donation from Old Souls Farm to help the district develop a digital sign for Graham Elementary School.

The rest of the donations are as follows:

  • $3,820.00 Donation from the Troy Foundation, Larry and Ida Snavley Fund for Teacher in Excellence Award-$1,000 each ES/MS/HS.
  • $100 Donation from St. Paris Furniture Co for the GES Back 2 School Bash.
  • $150 Donation from Sandy Miller for Athletic Field House improvements In Memory of Tim Milligan.
  • $2,342.62 Donation from Troy Foundation for HS Principal fund.
  • $10,000 Donation ($20,000 total) from Old Souls Farm for GES Digital Sign.
  • $250 Donation from Tim and Valerie Reuber for the Football Program to support player/family member Beau Snapp.
  • $75.00 Value of Donation from Tristan Bogan (Ladies Soccer HC) for two backpacks to the program.
  • $250 Value of Donation from Josh Barger for a second set of shirts and a hat for the nine players on the boys golf team.
  • Jeff and Leta McCulla -St Paris-  $100 Athletic Field House Improvements In Memory of Tim Milligan
  • Nancy Early-Troy-  $25 Athletic Field House Improvements In Memory of Tim Milligan
  • Don and Michelle Mitchell – Arizona- $50 Athletic Field House Improvements In Memory of Tim Milligan
  • $1,500 Donation from Dowty Accounting Services LLC. (The Dowty Family) for the Military Wall of Honor.

The board members also approved the following staff additions and duty assignments:

  • Miriam Helman – Head Cross Country Coach, GHS
  • Katie Setty – STEM/LEGO League Advisor, GES

  • Tyler Jacobs – P.E. Teacher, GES (Effective 8/08/2025)

Classified Staff – Supplemental/Additional Duties:

  • Tristan Bogan – Head Varsity Girls Soccer Coach, GHS
  • Jennifer Gaver – Head Varsity Volleyball Coach, GHS
  • Spencer Mitchell – Head Varsity Baseball Coach, GHS (Effective 2/24/2026)
  • Holly Rice – Varsity Football Cheer Advisor, GHS
  • Kayla Yoder – Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach, GHS
  • Craig Shirk – Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach, GHS (Effective 11/01/2025)

The first day of school for the Graham Local School District is Wednesday, August 20.
