Grimes Field Municipal Airport in Urbana is set to host its 2nd Annual Fireworks Festival on Saturday, and this year’s event is shaping up to be even bigger and better.
Gates open at 2:00 p.m., and admission is free.
Fireworks will cap off the day, starting at dusk.
Festival-goers can look forward to a day full of fun, food, airplanes, and much more.
Activities include live music from The Victorious Kaybirds, face painting, inflatables, sidewalk chalk, aircraft static displays, a firetruck display, food trucks, craft vendors, axe throwing, and more.
One of the main attractions will be CareFlight helicopter viewings and the chance to meet the flight crew.
Viewing times are set for 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 8:00–10:00 p.m.
Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair and enjoy a full day of celebration at Grimes Municipal Airport.
