Logan Grubbs, 18, of Marysville, spent the night in jail Thursday night after he led Logan Couty Sheriff Deputies on a brief pursuit.

Officers saw Grubbs driving a dirt bike in Belle Center when he performed a “wheely” in front of a group of people near the ice cream shop.

When deputies tried to initiate a traffic stop, Grubbs led them on a brief pursuit through the village and out of town.

On County Road 49 deputies called off the chase.

Returning to Belle Center, deputies spoke with the crowd near the ice cream shop, and witnesses identified Grubbs.

Deputies then went to a known address where Grubbs stays with his father and were told he was en route to the location.

They were able to find Grubbs driving nearby and stopped him.

During questioning, Grubbs admitted to deputies that he knew they were chasing him and didn’t want to get in trouble.

He was placed under arrest and lodged in the Logan County Jail for failure to comply.

Additionally, he was issued citations for reckless operation and rules for off-highway motorcycles.
