Gregory L. Harvey was officially sworn in on Tuesday during a ceremony at the Champaign County Municipal Court, marking the start of his upcoming term on the bench.
Harvey said he was humbled by the trust voters placed in him and emphasized his commitment to serving the community with fairness, integrity, and respect.
He thanked his wife and son for their support throughout the campaign, noting that their encouragement kept him grounded through a long election season.
Harvey also acknowledged his campaign team — Campaign Manager Brad Winner and Treasurer Tim Martin — for their leadership and dedication.
Local agencies, including the Mechanicsburg Police Department, offered their congratulations, saying they look forward to working with Judge Harvey as he steps into the role.
Harvey will officially assume office on January 1, 2026.
