UPDATED: Head-on collision closes County Road 10 Wednesday morning

UPDATE: A two-vehicle crash on County Road 10 early Wednesday morning sent one driver to the hospital after a vehicle crossed the center line and struck an oncoming car.

According to reports from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at 6:51 a.m. Wednesday, and snowy road conditions were a factor in the crash.

A 2025 Honda CR-V driven by Willis Wright, 64, of Powell, was traveling westbound.

A 2018 Toyota Camry driven by Jordan Rutan, 38, of Bellefontaine, traveling eastbound.

Deputies say Rutan crossed the center line and entered the westbound lane, where he collided with Wright.

Wright was transported by Bellefontaine EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital with minor injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

Rutan was cited for failure to control.

Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene.


A two-vehicle head-on collision happened Wednesday morning, just before 7:00 AM, on County Road 10 near the intersection of Township Road 55, closing the roadway.

Authorities said blowing and drifting snow were factors in the crash.

At least one person was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital with minor injuries.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office handled the crash, with Bellefontaine and Tri-Valley EMS responding to assist.
