According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Saturday evening, there was a serious two-vehicle crash on Township Road 200, just east of County Road 18 in Bellefontaine.
Around 7:15 PM, Carie McCullough, 50, of West Mansfield, was eastbound in a 2000 Toyota Camry when her vehicle was struck head-on by a westbound 1996 Ford minivan, driven by Richard Sparks, 50, of Heath.
Sparks reportedly went left of center and was not injured in the crash.
McCullough and her teenage passenger were seriously injured and transported to Mary Rutan Hospital.
While McCullough was wearing her seat belt, the teen was not.
Sparks claims he slammed on his brakes when he noticed stopped traffic, causing his vehicle to lose traction and cross the center line.
He was cited for a left-of-center violation.
