Health District urges residents to roll up sleeves as winter viruses loom

The Logan County Health District is urging residents to get their flu and COVID-19 vaccinations as respiratory illness season ramps up across the region.

Health officials say now is the ideal time to get protected, as both viruses are expected to circulate more widely as winter approaches and families gather for the holidays.

Logan County Health Commissioner, Travis Irvan, talks about how important it is to have your vaccinations this holiday season:

Vaccinations are available at the district’s Immunization Clinic at 310 South Main Street in Bellefontaine, where childhood and adult immunizations are offered on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3:15 p.m.

Appointments are required, and residents may schedule by calling (937) 651-6186.

To better serve residents with limited mobility, the health district also provides in-home vaccinations for individuals unable to travel to the clinic.
