Early Saturday morning, a motorcycle going the wrong way prompted a dangerous pursuit through Logan County.

Officers were stationed in Downtown Bellefontaine, just before 12:30 AM, when they saw a motorcycle heading southbound on South Canby Street behind Dollar Tree.

The motorcycle then turned west onto West Auburn Avenue, traveling against traffic.

Officers pursued the motorcycle as it traveled north on Central Court, Garfield Avenue, and West Street, repeatedly failing to stop at multiple stop signs.

At one point, speeds reached approximately 120 MPH.

The motorcycle then entered US 33 eastbound, going the wrong direction, passing vehicles, and briefly traveling off the roadway through a ditch.

The pursuit continued into the village of Russells Point, where it was called off due to public safety concerns.

No injuries were reported, and a follow-up investigation is underway to identify the operator of the motorcycle.
