UPDATED: Highway Patrol Reports Two-Vehicle Crash on US 33 Wednesday Afternoon

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, they responded to a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on US 33 at 4 PM.

The crash happened between State Route 287 and Township Road 157 on the eastbound side, where a vehicle, operated by Sarah VanDyke, 23, of Zanesfield went off the left side of the roadway, through the median, and into oncoming traffic.

VanDyke and a vehicle operated by Aaron Roy, 20 of Bellefontaine, collided, making her vehicle roll over and land on its top in the roadway.

She was transported to Union County Memorial Hospital by Perry Township EMS for serious injuries.

Roy was treated by EMS at the scene.

VanDyke was cited for failure to maintain control of her vehicle.
