Residents are encouraged to take a proactive step toward their health during a free HIV testing event scheduled for Monday, January 5, at the Champaign Health District.

The event, held in partnership with the Logan County Health District, will run from 12 to 2 p.m. and is open to the public at no cost. In addition to HIV testing, free screening for syphilis and Hepatitis C will also be offered.

Testing will be conducted using a simple fingerstick, with results available in approximately 20 minutes. Health officials say early diagnosis is key to treatment and prevention, emphasizing the importance of knowing your status.

For more information about the testing event, individuals can contact Sarah Robson with the Logan County Health District at 937-651-3033.
