This November, the Holland Theatre will showcase an exciting lineup of performances honoring legends of country and rock ‘n’ roll, along with a rising star in the guitar world.
Kicking off the month is 100 Years of Hank Williams on November 1, featuring Jason Petty’s tribute to the iconic country music singer. Petty, a favorite at the Grand Ole Opry, brings Williams’ impactful but brief career to life with a blend of storytelling and classic hits, including “Your Cheatin’ Heart” and “I Saw the Light.”
Next, on November 10, the theatre welcomes Luca Stricagnoli, an acoustic guitarist hailed as a legend in the making. Originally from Italy and now based in Nashville, Stricagnoli captivates audiences with his custom-designed double- and triple-neck guitars. His performance promises a captivating mix of contemporary rock hits, film scores, and original compositions.
The holiday season begins with One Christmas Night in Memphis on November 21, featuring an imagined celebration with music legends Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley, and Jerry Lee Lewis. This festive concert will include beloved holiday classics such as “Jingle Bell Rock,” “White Christmas,” and “Blue Christmas,” all delivered in a lively 90-minute rockabilly and country extravaganza.
The holiday festivities will continue into December with various performances, including Madcap Puppets’ version of The Nutcracker on December 1, the West Central Ohio Community Concert Band’s annual free Christmas concert on December 3, A Swingin’ Christmas: The Holiday Music of Tony Bennett on December 7 and 8, and the Lima Symphony Orchestra’s Bells, Brass, and Bows on December 15.
This season’s events are sponsored by Beasley Architecture & Design, with media sponsorship from the Bellefontaine Examiner and V-Teck Communication, alongside support from Honda of America and the Ohio Arts Council.
