American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (AHM) reported solid sales results for March and the first quarter of 2026, driven by strong performance from Honda hybrid models and Acura SUVs.
In March, AHM sold 130,074 vehicles, with 117,677 units from the Honda brand and 12,397 from Acura.
First-quarter sales totaled 336,830 units, with Honda at 304,478 and Acura at 32,352, marking Acura’s best Q1 in four years.
Honda Highlights:
- CR-V led Honda’s lineup with 40,793 units sold, its best month since April 2025, with hybrids making up 56% of the mix.
- Passport sales hit 4,979 units, setting a new Q1 record, with TrailSport trims representing over 80% of sales.
- Electrified models continued strong, with Honda hybrid sales reaching an all-time Q1 high of 95,882 units, including Civic and Accord hybrids. The Prologue EV sold more than 1,500 units.
- The Pilot posted its best month in 11 months, while Odyssey remained a leader in the minivan segment with 7,262 units sold.
- Honda passenger cars saw their strongest month since August 2025, with March sales of 36,704 units, led by Civic and Accord.
Acura Highlights:
- Acura sales grew 5.2% YTD in Q1, fueled by the Acura Allegiance Program and strong demand for gateway models ADX and Integra.
- Gateway models combined exceeded 5,000 units sold in March for the first time, with Integra sales up 42% to 2,730 units.
- Acura SUVs achieved their best Q1 in six years, with MDX hitting 4,272 units, the highest in 16 months, and RDX adding 2,487 units.

“While the year-over-year comparison is affected by last year’s consumer pull-ahead due to tariffs, our sales performance is very strong. Honda posted robust results across passenger cars and light trucks, and Acura continues to grow year to date, driven by strong SUV and gateway model performance.”
