Bellefontaine Police were called to a domestic dispute Tuesday night that resulted in a trip to the hospital and an arrest.

When officers arrived at the scene on Florence Avenue, they found Dennis Horne, 23, of Bellefontaine, with a cut lip and swollen face.

Witnesses say Horne was intoxicated, arguing with his wife and pulling her hair. Three times a neighbor interceded to stop Horne. Each time Horne would become aggressive. The neighbor would throw Horne to the ground each time in an attempt to stop the abuse.

Horne was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment when he became combative with staff.

Refusing treatment, he then resisted arrest.

He was then taken to Logan County Jail where he was charged with intoxicated disorderly conduct, persistent disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and parole violations.
