Early Tuesday morning, Adam Houchins, 35, of Lakeview, was arrested on US 33, near US 68, after deputies found his silver Ford F-150 stopped on the road because it ran out of gas.
Houchins, who does not have a valid driver’s license, acted erratically when law enforcement approached him.
Deputies noticed signs he might be impaired and called in a Drug Recognition Expert to help investigate.
When officers asked him to exit the vehicle, Houchins resisted arrest.
He was safely removed from the truck and taken into custody.
Houchins was charged with resisting arrest and having physical control of a vehicle while under the influence.
Houchins was taken to the Logan County Jail, and the case has been sent to the Bellefontaine Municipal Court for review.
