A Lewistown man was arrested Thursday evening after a hit-skip crash at the intersection of U.S. Route 33 and Clermont Avenue.

Russells Point police were called to the scene just after 8:15 p.m. Officers found a white Honda Pilot with rear-end damage.

The driver, Billie Davis, 49, of New Hampshire, was shaken but able to speak with officers.

Davis told police the vehicle that hit her left the scene.

That vehicle was later found parked at Golf Cart World.

Police identified the other driver as Brian Hough, 59, of Lewistown, and determined he caused the crash.

Officers reported smelling alcohol and said Hough showed signs of intoxication.

Hough’s vehicle, a black 2016 Chevrolet, had heavy damage and deployed airbags.

He refused a breath test at the scene and was arrested.

Hough was taken to the Logan County Jail, where he again refused a breath test.

He was issued a traffic summons and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence and assured clear distance ahead.

He was later released to a sober driver.
