Huntsville teen cited after Monday afternoon crash

A Huntsville teen was cited following a Monday afternoon crash in Bellefontaine.

According to the Bellefontaine Police Department, just before 3:30 p.m., a 17-year-old girl was driving a 2013 Suzuki SX4 southbound on Troy Road.

She stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with West Lake Avenue but reportedly failed to yield, striking the front end of a 2014 Acura MDX driven by 37-year-old Zachary Slaygh of Bellefontaine.

Slaygh was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Bellefontaine EMS with suspected serious injuries.

The teen was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
