A 54-year-old Huntsville woman was arrested Friday night for operating a vehicle under the influence.

Deputies were dispatched around 10:00 PM to a report of a reckless driver on US 33 eastbound near State Route 540.

The caller reported a white SUV swerving across lanes.

Deputies caught up with the vehicle near State Route 117 and saw multiple lane violations, including the SUV nearly hitting the guardrail and crossing the center line several times.

The vehicle was stopped near State Route 274. The deputy noted it took 47 seconds from the time he initiated his overhead lights until the vehicle finally came to a stop.

The driver, Kendra Miller, showed several signs of impairment.

After admitting to consuming multiple alcoholic drinks, Miller declined to perform field sobriety tests.

She was then arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail, where she refused a breath test.

Miller was cited for operating a vehicle under the influence and had her driver’s license suspended.

She was then released to a sober driver and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
