The Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to two traffic accidents on Friday, both blamed on icy road conditions.
The first crash happened just before 8:30 a.m. on County Road 144.
Deputies report a 2010 Mercury Milan driven by 33-year-old Joshua Robinson of Springfield went off the right side of the roadway near County Road 148 and struck a fence.
Robinson was cited for failure to control.
No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
The second crash happened just after 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Township Road 216 and County Road 18.
A 2026 Chevrolet driven by 36-year-old Jennifer Penix of Belle Center was stopped when it was rear-ended by a 2023 Kia driven by 24-year-old Jazzlynn Goings of Lewistown.
Deputies say icy conditions were also a factor in the crash.
No injuries were reported, and Goings was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
