The Indian Lake Board of Education elected officers and set their schedule for the year during their recent organizational meeting. Gabe Wickline was unanimously voted Board President for the eighth year in a row. Chad Ross was chosen to serve as Vice President for the seventh year. District Treasurer Coleen Reprogle administered the Oath of Office.
The board considered and passed several annual housekeeping items to begin the new year and went into an executive session to discuss applicants for the one vacant board seat. Five members of the community expressed their interest in the seat after longtime board member Scott Staley’s petition to run again in November was rejected by the Logan County Board of Elections due to a slight error. Board members will vote to fill that seat during January’s regular meeting.
The board scheduled the meeting dates for the coming year (listed below), with most meetings to be held on the third Monday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Indian Lake Board Office.
