Indian Lake High School and Ohio Hi-Point Career Center business students delivered an outstanding performance at the DECA District 3 Competition held earlier this week at the University of Findlay.

A total of 50 Indian Lake High School students represented the school with professionalism, confidence, and determination.

Their efforts resulted in 32 students placing in the Top 5 of their respective events, while 23 students earned qualification for the Ohio Career Development Conference (OCDC), the DECA state competition taking place next month.

Additionally, 11 students had already qualified for the state conference before the district event through their written projects, reflecting months of preparation and commitment leading up to competition day.

DECA advisor and ILHS/OHP Business teacher Bailey Hemmelgarn says,

“These accomplishments reflect countless hours of preparation, practice, and commitment. Congratulations to all of our competitors for representing our school so well and we are excited to see our qualifiers continue on to the state level!”
