High school is often seen as a pathway to employment, military service, or higher education, but it is also a time for students to explore their interests and discover potential career paths.
Programs like the “3 E” initiative — Employed, Enlisted, or Enrolled — are designed to help students gain the knowledge and experiences needed to make confident decisions about life after graduation.
Identifying which path best fits their goals and interests is an important step toward future success.
On Thursday, Indian Lake High School hosted the 10th Annual Logan County Career Expo, giving students the opportunity to meet face-to-face with professionals and learn more about potential career opportunities.
More than 600 juniors and seniors attended the event, representing several area schools including:
- Bellefontaine High School
- Benjamin Logan High School
- Indian Lake High School
- Kenton High School
- Ohio Hi-Point Career Center
- Ridgemont High School
- Riverside Local Schools
- Waynesfield-Goshen Local Schools
- West Liberty-Salem High School
Students had the chance to connect with representatives from approximately 74 local businesses and industries, learning about career paths and building valuable connections for their futures.
The event was organized by the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center in partnership with the Logan County Chamber of Commerce and other local stakeholders.
Through scheduled interactions and conversations with professionals, the expo helped students explore a wide range of career opportunities available both now and in the future.
