Fifteen Indian Lake freshmen have been inducted into the Indian Lake Middle School Academic Hall of Fame during the school’s 32nd annual ceremony.
The students, all members of the Indian Lake Class of 2030, returned to the middle school recently for the ceremony, which was attended by family and friends and held in front of the entire student body.
ILMS Co-Principal Missy Mefford congratulated the students on their accomplishments, noting that middle school can be challenging and encouraging other students to work toward similar success.
Mefford said the inductees took the initiative to become the best versions of themselves and chose to improve each day.
To qualify for the Academic Hall of Fame, students had to maintain a grade-point average of at least 3.8, maintain a 98-percent attendance rate, be enrolled at ILMS for at least 70 percent of the semesters during their fifth- through eighth-grade years, and maintain an acceptable discipline record.
This year’s inductees are:
- Samantha Altstaetter
- Mason Berg
- Abigail Bihn
- Miller Hall
- Addison Headings
- Reese Imm
- Brady Jackson
- Hayden Kuhlke
- Kaiden Lacher
- Calen McClelland

A reception in the school cafeteria followed the ceremony.
