March is Youth Art Month, and two students from Indian Lake Middle School have been chosen for special art exhibitions in Ohio.
Emma Taylor, an 8th grader, was selected for the 45th Annual Youth Art Month Exhibition for her landscape painting.
Kayla Tracey, a 6th grader, was chosen for the 45th Annual Young People’s Art Exhibition for her cake drawing.
Both exhibitions are sponsored by the Ohio Art Education Association (OAEA) and feature 125 pieces of art from students in grades K-8 across Ohio.
The OAEA has eight regions, and the exhibitions highlight the talent of young artists from each region.
It is a big honor for both students to be part of these exhibitions.
Emma and Kayla, along with their art teacher, Mrs. Rebecca Dotson, will be recognized at a reception at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus on Saturday.
Indian Lake Middle School is proud of its students’ achievements and looks forward to seeing their work showcased in the exhibitions.
