Indian Lake High School has announced its first Class of 2026 Seniors of the Month, recognizing two outstanding students for August: Kora Fulkerson and Avery Pequignot.
Kora Fulkerson
- Parents: Andy and Amanda Fulkerson
- School Activities and Awards: Choir (9-12), Meisters (9-12), Musical (9-10), Vocal Jazz (12), National Honor Society (11-12), SADD (9-12), Cheerleading (9, 11), Competition Cheer (9, 11), Soccer (9), Basketball (9-10), Softball (9-12), Science Club (9-12), Key Club (9-12), Meals on Wheels (10-12), Scholar Athlete (9-12), Perfect Attendance, and Honor Roll (9-12).
- If I were principal for a day: “I would have a field day where everyone could play games and have fun.”
- Favorite school memory: “My favorite memory is going to Prom with my friends.”
- People who have been an inspiration to me include: “My close friends and my mom.”
- Lately, I’ve been reading: Haunting Adeline
- My advice to parents: “I’d tell parents to have a conversation with your children on supporting their decisions.”
- My biggest regret: “I regret not dedicating more time to extracurricular activities.”
- Next year I will be: “At the University of Findlay in Pre-Veterinary Studies.”
Avery Pequignot

- If I were principal for a day: “I would bring back playing basketball at lunch.”
- Favorite school memory: “My favorite memories are going on the BPA field trip to Sky Zone last year and Key Club volunteer events.”
- People who have been an inspiration to me include: “My parents, Jesus, and Aaron Craft.”
- Lately, I’ve been reading: The Bible
- My advice to parents: “Give your kids freedom and let them learn from their mistakes. Have hard conversations with them when needed. It will shape them into mature and smart adults in the future.”
- My biggest regret: “I regret having periods in my life where I wasn’t intentional in my relationship with the Lord.”
- Next year I will be: “At an undecided college playing basketball.”
