Indian Lake State Park will see the start of the early goose hunting season beginning Saturday.
Visitors may hear gunshots during this period, but park officials ask the public not to be alarmed.
As part of the early season, Old Field Beach and Fox Island will be closed daily from sunrise until 10 a.m., through September 14.
Visitors are asked to stay out of the designated areas and not attempt to go around barricades for their own safety.
Park officials say they wish hunters a safe and successful season and thank visitors for their cooperation.
