The 2025 Indian Lake High School Musical is putting a fresh twist on classic tunes with its production of Nice Work If You Can Get It.

The show will be performed on February 28th and March 1st at 7:30 p.m. in the Wilma Jacobs Performing Arts Auditorium.

Directed by Indian Lake Vocal Music Teacher Tracey Notestine, Nice Work If You Can Get It is a screwball comedy set in the Prohibition era, blending the world of wealthy socialites with that of chaotic bootleggers.

The musical features iconic songs by George and Ira Gershwin, including “Fascinating Rhythm,” “Someone to Watch Over Me,” and the title track, “Nice Work If You Can Get It.”

Notestine, who discovered the show later in the process, has praised it as a perfect fit for this year’s talented cast.

Ken Keller was joined by Notestine and members of the cast at Chalk Talk Wednesday night, catch the replay HERE.

The production has a large cast featuring seniors Daniel Wahl (Jimmy Winter), Adeline Robinson (Billie Bendix), Jayden Martin (Cookie McGee), Calvin Knief (Chief Berry), Cambria Tuttle (Jeannie Muldoon), and Kayden Taylor (Max) with juniors Riley Ross (Eileen Evergreen), Alyssa Powell (Duchess Estonia Dulworth), and Makenna Hurley (Milicent Winter). It also features sophomore Crew McPherson (Duke Mahoney).

Along with Notestine, the show is choreographed by Rebecca Taylor, with orchestra direction by Jason Fauley, sets by Ed Rogers, and lighting by Gabe Reichert.
