After a lengthy investigation that began in 2019, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office has taken 28-year-old Triston Sholty, of Indiana, into custody.
Sholty was indicted on November 14, 2023, on charges of rape, a first-degree felony, and gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony.
A warrant for his arrest was issued on December 5, 2023, but he remained out of custody until this week.
On Wednesday, Sholty was extradited from Indiana and booked into the Logan County Jail just before 5 p.m.
He was arraigned Friday in a Logan County courtroom and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
A jury trial has been scheduled for November 24 and 25.
