A Lakeview man was arrested Tuesday evening after deputies responded to a domestic violence report involving a victim with visible injuries.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched around 6:30 p.m. to a home on Holly Drive in Lakeview.
A neighbor called to report that the victim had shown up at their door with several injuries, saying they may have been assaulted.
Deputies found the victim outside the neighbor’s home with bruising under both eyes and bleeding from the bridge of her nose.
When asked if 37-year-old Heath Deel was responsible, the victim was hesitant and did not provide a clear response.
Deputies then went to a nearby residence where Deel was found lying on the bedroom floor and appeared intoxicated.
He was detained at the scene.
Deel claimed the victim had been drinking and had fallen through a bedroom door, causing their injuries.
Later, the victim admitted that Deel had headbutted them.
Deel was arrested for domestic violence and taken to the Logan County Jail.
