Update:
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash that occurred on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
At approximately 6:40 p.m., the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the intersection of U.S. 33 at County Road 57 in Logan County for a two-vehicle serious injury crash.
The driver of the at-fault party, identified as Gerald B. Norris (87) of Rushsylvania, was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital by Huntsville EMS in serious condition.
A passenger in the other vehicle involved, identified as Rony Martinez, of Columbus, was flown to Miami Valley Hospital by Care-Flight with non-life-threatening injuries.
The preliminary investigation shows Norris, who was operating a 2022 Honda CR-V, was traveling east on County Road 57 when he failed to yield at the intersection of U.S. 33.
A 2003 Chevrolet Express van traveling southeast on U.S. 33, operated by Pablo Guevara of Oxnard, California, then struck the Honda CR-V on the driver’s side.
The Chevrolet van was occupied by Rudy Riveria (33), Jose Tscobar (36), Rony Martinez (27), Willson Alvonjas (27), and Carlos Rosles (32), all of Columbus.
Guevara sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
None of the other occupants sustained any injuries.
Alcohol or drugs are not suspected to be a contributing factor in this crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

A multi-vehicle accident on US 33 and County Road 57 around 6:30 pm Saturday evening caused traffic delays on the highway.
It appears a vehicle was crossing US 33 on State Route 57 and was hit broadside by a white cargo van heading east on US 33.
One person was Careflighted from the scene.
It is unclear if any others were injured in the accident.
