Two area males were arrested after a vehicle was stolen from Jackson Center.

Bellefontaine Police were notified that the juvenile suspect, John Catterson, 17, of Jackson Center, was in the city with a relative.

Officers found the vehicle abandoned and unoccupied in a parking lot behind the Eichholtz Daring and Sanford Funeral Home and a short time later, they located John in the 300 block of North Detroit Street.

At the residence, Mike Catterson, John’s uncle, told officers John was not inside and that he had not talked to him for about a month.

Another occupant in the house said John was inside and he was located in a back bedroom.

Arrangements were made to take John to the Logan/Shelby County Line to turn him over to Jackson Center Police.

Mike was placed under arrest for obstructing official business and he was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

John was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

The vehicle, keys, and the juvenile’s phone were turned in to a relative.
