Johnson and Meddings win chili and ice cream contests

The Logan County Fair Chili and Ice Cream contests were held on Saturday to help put a wrap on the 175th Logan County Fair.

Winners of the Chili competition are:

• Mild Chili:

  2. Barb McKeen
  3. Karla Johnson
• Spicy Chili:
  1. Sam Johnson
  2. Wendy Rutan
• Unique Chili:
  1. Natasha Compton
  2. Karla Johnson
  3. Terri Mees

Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion were awarded to Sam Johnson.

Next was the Ice Cream contest. Those receiving awards are:

• Gelato:

• Ice Cream with fruit:

• Ice cream with nuts:

Grand Champion went to Lindsey Meddings with her Blueberry Crumble ice cream.
Reserve Grand Champion was Karla Johnson with her Reese’s Peanut Butter ice cream.
