During the evening hours of Friday, June 27, following several months of investigation, Officers and Detectives of the Bellefontaine Police Department, in cooperation with Deputies and Detectives of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, executed multiple narcotics-related search warrants and made multiple narcotics trafficking and related arrests within the city of Bellefontaine.
Beginning at approximately 7:20 pm at 417 East Auburn Avenue, the residence of Brian C. Mees, Officers and Deputies served search and arrest warrants. Evidence of drug trafficking was seized at that scene, and three individuals were taken into custody. Those arrested were Brian C. Mees, De’Andre L. Tucker, and Chase M. Whiting. Whiting attempted to flee on foot and was apprehended quickly by Bellefontaine Police K9, Pyro, along with his handler, K9 Officer Hostetler. He was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of injuries associated with the dog bite and released into custody. All were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Officers, Deputies, and Detectives then served narcotics-related search warrants at 417 North Detroit Street, the residence of Jeffrey C. Clark, Tonja M. Parsley, and Timothy E Clark. Evidence of drug trafficking and use was seized at that scene, and four individuals were taken into custody and lodged in the Logan County Jail on narcotics charges. Those arrested were Jeffrey C. Clark, Tonja M. Parsley, Timothy E. Clark, and Roscelle Clark.
Officers, Deputies, and Detectives then served narcotics-related search warrants at 450 Kristina Drive, apartments 7(C) and 14(E). Both apartments were associated with Whiting. No persons were found at either apartment; however, evidence was recovered at the scene supporting the investigation.
There were no injuries to Officers or Deputies during these operations. The investigation continues, and further criminal charges may follow.
