Logan County Sheriff’s Deputy Core and K9 Tega were integral to an arrest on Tuesday evening.
Sheriff’s deputies stopped Amber Farley, 34, of Mount Victory, for a faulty exhaust.
As deputies approached her, she seemed overly nervous for the stop.
Deputy Core and K9 Tega arrived on the scene to assist, and the dog alerted on the vehicle, causing deputies to do a probable cause search.
Several drug paraphernalia items were found inside the vehicle, including a container with suspected heroin inside. A black Smith and Wesson 2.2 with a round loaded in the chamber in two rounds in a magazine was found in the front center console of the vehicle.
Farley was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail where she was lodged on charges of possession of a controlled substance and weapons under disability.
