On Tuesday, Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 33-year-old Chrystyan Kline, of Bellefontaine, following a series of events that began with a traffic stop on US 33.
Deputies stopped Kline for driving without a valid license and arranged for him to wait at the Village Pantry gas station for a ride.
However, Kline soon caused a disturbance inside the store, leading staff to call law enforcement.
Upon arrival, deputies found Kline by the entrance.
Despite his claims that he was just waiting for a ride, staff reported that he had been yelling and causing a scene, prompting multiple requests for him to leave.
Kline was asked to step outside to speak with deputies but refused to comply.
He displayed signs of intoxication, including red, bloodshot eyes and the smell of alcoholic beverages.
When informed he was under arrest for disorderly conduct, Kline resisted, forcing deputies to secure him in handcuffs.
While being transported to the Logan County Jail, Kline continued to make threats and use profanities.
After arriving, he attempted to kick an officer during the booking process, resulting in his placement in a restraint chair for safety.
Kline is facing several charges, including aggravated menacing, disorderly Conduct, and resisting arrest.
