Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an automobile accident outside of Zanesfield Saturday afternoon.

Joshua Kuhn, of West Mansfield, claimed to be traveling north on State Route 292 when he swerved to miss another vehicle, struck a guardrail, and ended up in the ditch.

He went on to tell deputies that his two sons were in the truck with him at the time of the accident, however, their grandmother picked them up.

Kuhn was asked to fill out a statement while the deputy processed the scene.

After several minutes, he returned the statement to the deputy, blank.

Officials found Kuhn to be under the influence of alcohol.

They noticed several signs of impairment and could smell alcohol on him.

Kuhn then failed several field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for OVI.

At the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, he initially refused a breath test and later consented.

He blew a .225 BAC, almost three times the legal limit.

Kuhn was issued citations for 2 counts of OVI, Failure to Control, and 2 counts of Endangering Children.

The accident was forwarded to Logan County Children Services and the Bellefontaine Municipal Court Prosecutors Office for review.
