The Logan County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 320 block of Bentz Avenue in Lakeview for a domestic dispute Saturday evening around 8:40.

David Luciano II, 52, was identified. He walked to the north side of the house, out of deputy’s view. As deputies tried to locate Luciano, authorities could hear someone jumping the chain link fence separating the property and the property to the north.

The female said that Luciano was the one who just left and that they were fighting. The victim said she woke up from a nap, and they got into a verbal argument. Luciano started the physical altercation. The female’s elbow was red, and she had fresh scrapes on her knee. Her left leg muscle was also stretched. The female said Luciano restrained her and threw her against the wall.

Luciano was found coming out of the brush. Two folding knives were removed from him, and he was detained. He had an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. He admitted he had been drinking.

The victim said that Luciano had been steadily drinking since 11:00 in the morning and he had six alcoholic drinks.

Luciano claimed he was not trying to hide from the police when they initially responded. He said he was trying to hide from the female because she was yelling at him.

Luciano was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Logan County Jail. As he was being arrested, he went through several mood swings and asked about bail.

Through a criminal history report of Luciano, he was arrested in November of 2003 in Iowa and again in January of 2004 for domestic abuse assault without intent causing injury.
